Go East Vintage was established in 2021 and created by east Londoners, Louisa and Onur, who found there was a growing demand for vintage, sustainable market events in their local area. Over the last few years, shoppers have become aware of the severe impact that fast fashion and fast furniture is having on the environment and the immediate need to reduce their carbon footprint, so it was Go East Vintage's mission to offer something different to the consumer - a shopping experience which was fun, sociable, eco-friendly and brought communities and traders back together.As vintage furniture enthusiasts, they already had experience trading at markets around London but felt something was missing. Louisa, with her background in singing and teaching, and Onur, a tailor and operations manager, decided to do things a different way. They wanted to create a 'complete vintage experience' which customers and traders would remember. They carefully hand-picked some of the best traders to represent Go East Vintage, and with help from local singers and cool Leyton warehouse venue Patchworks providing the perfect backdrop, the first Go East Vintage Flea Market was born. A fun, festival atmosphere combining sustainable shopping, music, eating and drinking under one roof. This is just the beginning. There is much more to come from Go East Vintage in 2022.
